GDPR Glossary Also known as: SAR, DSAR, right of access
A request from an individual to see the personal data an organisation holds about them — usually answered within one month.
A subject access request (the right of access under Article 15) lets a person obtain confirmation that you process their data, a copy of it, and information about how and why you use it.
You normally have one month to respond, free of charge, though it can be extended for complex requests.
