GDPR.guide (iswlegal.com) is an independent editorial project that explains the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We are the controller for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us at info@iswlegal.com.

• Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server records the IP address, user-agent, requested page and timestamp of each visit. We use these logs for security and abuse prevention (including blocking scraper networks) and keep them for around 30 days.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 and Yandex Metrica to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. These tools set cookies (such as _ga and _ym*) and collect usage data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type. Yandex Metrica may also record anonymised in-page interactions (scrolling, clicks) to help us improve layout and readability.
• Advertising. Pages may display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its certified partners may set cookies or use identifiers as described in Google's policy on data from partner sites.
• Email you send us. The contact form opens your own email client; we receive only what you choose to send, and use it solely to answer you.

We rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for security logging and for measuring aggregate readership, and on consent (Article 6(1)(a)) where the law requires it for cookies and personalised advertising. We do not sell personal data, build marketing profiles of readers, or send newsletters.

Our analytics and advertising providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside the EEA. Transfers to Google rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; see each provider's privacy documentation for details.

If EU data-protection law applies to you, you have the rights we spend the rest of this site explaining — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to complain to your supervisory authority. To exercise any of them, email info@iswlegal.com.

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site works fine without them. Analytics opt-outs are also available directly from Google and Yandex.

If we change how the site handles data — for example, adding a newsletter or new analytics — we will update this page and the effective date above.
