What is Standard Contractual Clauses?

Pre-approved contract terms that provide a safeguard for transferring personal data outside the EEA.

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are model data-protection clauses adopted by the Commission that parties sign to legitimise a transfer where there is no adequacy decision.

They are the everyday transfer tool, usually paired with a transfer impact assessment and any extra measures needed.
