What is Transfer impact assessment?

The Schrems II check on whether the destination country's laws undermine your transfer safeguards.

A transfer impact assessment (TIA) evaluates whether the laws and practices of the destination country could undermine the protection promised by your transfer tool (e.g. SCCs).

Where risks are found, you must add supplementary measures — technical, contractual or organisational — or not transfer.
